ጆተን ኢትዮጵያ የቀለም ፋብሪካ የማስፋፊያ ፕሮጀክት ለመጀመር ከኮርፖሬሽኑ ጋር ተፈራረመ

የኖርዌዩ ጆተን ኢትዮጵያ የቀለም አምራች ኩባንያ በቦሌ ለሚ ልዩ የኢኮኖሚ ዞን ተጨማሪ የማስፋፊያ ፕሮጀክት ለማከናወን ከኢንዱስትሪ ፓርኮች ልማት ኮርፖሬሽን ጋር የውል ስምምነት ተፈራረመ።

የውል ስምምነቱን የኢንዱስትሪ ፓርኮች ልማት ኮርፖሬሽን የኦፐሬሽንና ፓርክ አስተዳደር ዘርፍ ምክትል ሥራ አስፈጻሚ አቶ ፍጹም ከተማ እና የጆተን ኢትዮጵያ ዋና ሥራ አስኪያጅ መሃመድ ሻሪብ ተፈራርመዋል።

በስምምነቱ ወቅት አቶ ፍጹም ከተማ እንደገለጹት፣ ኮርፖሬሽኑ በአምስት ዓመት ስትራቴጂካዊ ዕቅዱ መሠረት በሚያስተዳድራቸው ልዩ የኢኮኖሚ ዞኖችና ኢንዱስትሪ ፓርኮች የሚገኙ ባለሀብቶች ካፒታላቸውንና እውቀታቸውን እንዲያሰፉ የሚያስችሉ ሥራዎችን እያከናወነ ነው። የዛሬው ስምምነትም የዚህ ጥረት አንዱ ማሳያ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል።

አቶ ፍጹም አክለውም፣ ጆተን ኢትዮጵያ በኢትዮጵያ ገበያ ላይ የቀለም ምርቶቹን በጥራት በማቅረብ ጉልህ አስተዋጽኦ እያበረከተ መሆኑን ጠቅሰው፣ በቦሌ ለሚ የሚከናወነው የማስፋፊያ ፕሮጀክት የሀገር ውስጥ የቀለም አቅርቦትን ከማሳደግ ባሻገር ወደ ተለያዩ የአፍሪካ ሀገራት ገበያ ምርቶችን ለማቅረብ እንደሚያስችል ገልጸዋል።

የጆተን ኢትዮጵያ የቀለም ማምረቻ ኩባንያ ዋና ሥራ አስኪያጅ መሃመድ ሻሪብ በበኩላቸው ኮርፖሬሽኑ ለኩባንያው ሥራ መሳካት ከፍተኛ ድጋፍና ቀጣይነት ያለው ክትትል ማድረጉን አመስግነው፣ የማስፋፊያ ፕሮጀክቱ የሀገር ውስጥ ፍላጎትን ከመሸፈን ባለፈ የአፍሪካ ገበያን ለመድረስና የኩባንያውን የውጭ ገበያ ተደራሽነት ለማሳደግ እንደሚያግዝ ጠቁመዋል።

በስምምነቱ መሠረት ኩባንያው በቦሌ ለሚ ልዩ የኢኮኖሚ ዞን ውስጥ 6.4 ሄክታር መሬት ይረከባል።

Jotun Ethiopia Signs Agreement to Expand Paint Manufacturing Facility at Bole Lemi SEZ

Jotun Ethiopia, the Norwegian paint manufacturer, has signed an agreement with the Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) to launch an expansion project at the Bole Lemi Special Economic Zone.

The agreement was signed by Fitsum Ketema, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Operations and Park Management of the Industrial Parks Development Corporation, and Mohammed Sharib, General Manager of Jotun Ethiopia.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Fitsum Ketema said the agreement aligns with the Corporation's five-year strategic plan to support investors operating in Special Economic Zones and industrial parks by facilitating the expansion of their investments and capabilities.

He noted that Jotun Ethiopia has made a significant contribution to Ethiopia's paint industry by supplying high-quality products to the domestic market. According to him, the expansion project will increase local production capacity, help meet the country's growing demand for paint products, and position the company to serve export markets across Africa.

Mohammed Sharib, General Manager of Jotun Ethiopia, commended the Industrial Parks Development Corporation for its continued support and close follow-up, describing the partnership as instrumental to the company's growth.

He said the expansion project would not only strengthen the company's ability to meet domestic market demand but also enhance its competitiveness and expand its presence in African export markets.

Under the agreement, Jotun Ethiopia will be allocated 6.4 hectares of land within the Bole Lemi Special Economic Zone to implement the expansion project.
